RANDY YOUR SEWING MACHINE MAN
THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL.
If I would’ve known how much fun it would be to have a YouTube channel, I would have done this a long time ago when it first began. Now, not only is it a lot of fun, it’s a valuable tool that allows me to not only sell machines, but communicate with sewing machine owners all over the world.
I find myself getting up a little earlier each morning, 5 to 6 am, just to allow myself the extra time it takes to visit with my viewers and subscribers.
One day I might be texting with a person from Queensland, Australia. The next morning it may be someone from New Zealand.
When I was at Sam‘s club recently, I answered my phone and it was a viewer from Spain who had a question about his Singer 401-A. He had watched a couple videos and he was having a problem with his machine and asked me if I could make a video about it.
I was surprised and happy that the medium was so powerful and far reaching.
I was happy to make the video that he requested, and it helped him fix his machine.
Now that’s technology being practically applied to help solve a problem.
Many times I’ve had customers call me and tell me what their sewing machine malfunction was. It was easy for me to know that they were mis-threading their machine. Back in the “olden days”, I would’ve tried to help them, step by step, painstakingly going through the threading procedure and finally solving the problem. It was time consuming and very tough on everyone’s patience, but we would somehow get it right.
Now, I just tell them to go to my YouTube channel and watch the step -by-step video and BOOM!..it’s fixed. It’s a godsend really.
Technology marches on.
I remember when I got my first car phone in the late seventies and was surprised at how efficient I could be , just by having a car phone. Now I’m equally surprised at how effective the technology is to help us in our daily lives.
Some days it’s mind boggling to think what it will be like twenty years from now.
When I find out that many of my viewers live in remote areas, I can understand how they rely on YouTube and other online resources to help them improve their lives.
I also realize how grand it is to be in a metropolitan area like Dallas/Fort Worth, and that not only can I help just about everyone on the same day they call me, I can get just about anything I need today as well. It’s hard not to take for granted how blessed we all are to live here.
I hope you find value in my YouTube channel. If there’s a video you’d like me to make to help inform you or solve a sewing machine issue, just let me know.
I’m on it.
